A helping hand will soon be on the way for hardworking community groups within the Harrisdale community.

Under Harrisdale Green’s Neighbourhood Grants program, much needed funds will be injected back into important community initiatives through grants to local sporting, welfare, cultural, recreational or other non-for-profit organisations.

The Neighbourhood Grants program is due to commence in early 2011. Ensure you’re the first to know by Registering Your Interest.

Cedar Woods General Manager, Stuart Duplock said the concept behind the Neighbourhood Grants program was to assist the Harrisdale community to create a healthy and community-focused sanctuary for its residents.
“We want to help local community groups continue their good work in building healthy and vibrant neighbourhoods, so applicants need to demonstrate how they will use the grant to benefit the community of Harrisdale or the surrounding area.  

“The grants could be used for a variety of projects such as new equipment, uniforms, landscaping and environmental improvement; and many other worthwhile initiatives,” said Mr Duplock.
